New Delhi, Sep 17: Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Monday that the Ministry of Home Affairs will open 16 new Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandars in Manipur to provide essential commodities at affordable prices to the public.
Starting from September 17, the new stores will be available to the general public, adding to the existing 21 Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandars in the state. Eight of the new centres will be located in the valley, while the other eight will serve the hill regions, ensuring accessibility throughout the state.
Shah shared the news on ‘X’, stating, “In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment, the MHA is launching an initiative to provide commodities to the people of Manipur at reasonable prices. Now, the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandars will be open for common people from September 17.”
