Senapati, Sept 20:   A joint operation by the D-78 CRPF and Senapati District Police led to the seizure of 150 litres of DIC liquor at the T. Khullen Naka point along NH-2 today at around 1 p.m.

The liquor, found in an Alto car (Regn. No. MN-08-A-0127), was being transported by 35-year-old Joshua, a resident of Liyai Khullen village in Senapati district.

Joshua revealed that the liquor was purchased from Sekmai, Imphal West, and was intended for sale at Senapati bazar. Following the seizure, both the liquor and Joshua were handed over to Senapati Police Station.

The case was then transferred to the Excise Police Station, Senapati, after completing the necessary formalities.
