Reports from Israeli media indicate that more than 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Friday afternoon, prompting the Israeli army to instruct residents in the area to stay near bomb shelters.

Damage included a direct hit on a building at a dairy farm in Kibbutz Ortal, located within the northern Golan Regional Council, which is an Israeli settlement. Additionally, a power outage was reported in Safed, in Israel’s Northern District, as a result of the rocket barrage, according to Xinhua news agency.

Air raid sirens were activated in Safed, several nearby towns around the Sea of Galilee, and in Ortal. Social media posts showed the Iron Dome defense system intercepting multiple incoming rockets during what has been described as a significant attack from Hezbollah.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified since Thursday, with both sides conducting retaliatory strikes. This escalation follows explosions from pagers and handheld radios in Lebanon earlier in the week, which resulted in 37 deaths and 2,931 injuries. Hezbollah attributed these explosions to Israeli actions, while Israeli officials have not yet responded.
