Imphal, Sept 24:   Manipur police have made a significant discovery of hidden weapons, including rocket-propelled grenades, during a search operation in a fringe and vulnerable areas of Bishnupur district.

The police launched the operation on Monday, which led them to an abandoned camp in the Machin Manao Ching at Chingmamg Bamdiar in Bishnupur.

The search uncovered a substantial arms stockpile, consisting of a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) with a magazine, two rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) shells, two RPG shell chargers, three High Explosive-36 hand grenades, a Chinese hand grenade, and a BAOFENG UV-5R WT handset.

The recovered arms have been taken into police custody for further analysis and legal action.
