PM Modi Honors Mahatma Gandhi on 155th Birth Anniversary, Joins Cleanliness Campaign

New Delhi, Oct 2:   On the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute at Rajghat, accompanied by Union Minister Manohar Lal and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. PM Modi also extended his greetings to the nation on Gandhi Jayanti.

In a message on social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi expressed his deep respect for Mahatma Gandhi’s values, stating, “On behalf of all countrymen, salutations to Pujya Bapu on his birth anniversary. His life and ideals based on truth, harmony, and equality will always remain an inspiration for the country.”

In honor of Gandhi’s vision of cleanliness, PM Modi participated in a Swachhta Abhiyan (cleanliness drive) with the nation’s youth. He encouraged citizens to join similar efforts to support the Swachh Bharat Mission.

“Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, I participated in Swachhata activities with my young friends. I urge everyone to engage in such activities and continue to strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission, 10YearsOfSwachhBharat,” he posted on ‘X’.
