Paomata, Oct 6: Savio High School (Branch), Paomata Centre, successfully concluded its Annual Cultural and Literary Meet from 3rd to 5th October 2024, under the theme “Discover Your Inner Self.” The event saw the enthusiastic participation of about 350 students, highlighting the school’s vibrant cultural and literary scene.
On the first day of the event, the day was graced by Rev. Fr. Solomon Thezii, school principal in the presence of Rev. Sr. Rosit, Headmistress of Savio High School – B, Paomata Centre, teaching and non teaching staff and all the students present for the exciting program that follows.
Day 1 Highlights:
The first day of the meet featured an exciting range of competitions, including:

– Solo Singing (K.G. 1 & 2)
– Poem Recitation (Class 1 & 2)

On the second day of the event, the program was graced by Ma’am Cicily, Khumai Women Society Chairperson and Ma’am Th Vasthi, Khumai Women Society General Secretary as guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, Women leaders who graced the day laud the school authority about such a mindful program and encourage every student to perform well in whatever they do in discovering one’s inner self in the following days.

The second day brought even more enthusiasm with competitions such as:

On the concluding day: the day began with a graceful prayer dance and a warm welcome from Rev. Fr. Jonah, the Vice Principal. Special remarks were delivered by Ms. Rahrane Jimmy and Ms. Raikhune Silas, from Class 8. Another special appearance was make by very young artiste Ms. Meveine Shiba of class K.G 1, covering famous “Manipur Tiedei” original release of Mrs. H Hriishoru (legendary Koide Artist) in Paomata version.
The valedictory was officiated by Chief Guest, Dr. V. Hriivio of Ocean Dental Clinic, Senapati District Headquarters, and the Guest of Honour, Shri Robinson Dumai, Chairman of Makhufii Village. Both guests emphasized the importance of self-expression and cultural appreciation in their addresses. The day was brightened by a choreography troupe, setting a lively tone for the concluding events, which included:

On conclusion, Rev. Sr. Rosit, Headmistress shares her heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, students and teachers in making the program a grand success. The event ended on a high note, with students and staff alike celebrating the diversity of talents displayed. The three-day program left a lasting impression on all participants, fostering creativity, confidence, and a deeper connection to their cultural roots.
