MUMBAI, Oct 30: The American pop-rock band Maroon 5 will make their debut in India with a live concert scheduled for December 3, 2024, in Mumbai. Fronted by Adam Levine, the Los Angeles-based band will perform at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, featuring a set list that includes their biggest hits and fan favorites such as “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved,” “Sugar,” and “Girls Like You.”
With a career spanning 30 years, Maroon 5 has consistently topped charts around the world, securing their position as superstars. Their upcoming Mumbai performance is anticipated to include a blend of classic hits and recent chart successes.
Founded in 1994 under the name Kara’s Flowers, the band transformed into Maroon 5 and gained fame with their debut album, Songs About Jane, which won them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. The current lineup consists of Adam Levine (rhythm guitar and vocals), James Valentine (lead guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards), Sam Farrar (bass), and Matt Flynn (drums).
Maroon 5 has sold over 98 million albums and 750 million singles worldwide, achieving 32 records on the Billboard Hot 100, with three reaching Diamond certification (10x Platinum) in the U.S. They also hold records for the most number one hits on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts, and their songs have garnered over 22 billion streams on Spotify, with ten tracks surpassing one billion streams each.
