New Delhi, Nov 5: Twenty students from Manipur’s villages of Andro, Yairipok, Yambem, and Angtha, currently participating in a National Integration Tour organized by the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, had a memorable interaction with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday.
The students presented a memento to the President and shared their dreams, expressing how her life story has inspired them. This tour, arranged under Operation Sadbhavna, aims to promote national integration and broaden the students’ understanding of India’s heritage and culture.
As part of their itinerary, the group will visit historical landmarks in Lucknow and Agra, giving them a closer look at India’s diverse traditions. This initiative highlights the Army’s commitment to fostering unity and encouraging youth to grow as responsible citizens. The students are set to return to Imphal on November 12, 2024.
