DIMAPUR, Nov 9: Nagaland University (NU), Lumami, will host the Northeast Zone Inter-University Men’s Football Tournament for the 2024-25 session from November 11 to 15. Organized under the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, the matches are scheduled to be held at Mokokchung’s local ground and NU’s Dr. T Ao Sports Complex in Lumami.
Nineteen university teams from eight northeastern states will compete, including institutions such as Bodoland University, Cotton University, Dhanamanjuri University, Dibrugarh University, Guwahati University, ICFAI University (Meghalaya and Tripura), Manipur University, Mizoram University, Nagaland University, National Sports University (Manipur), North-Eastern Hill University, Rajiv Gandhi University (Arunachal Pradesh), Royal Global University (Assam), Sikkim Manipal University, St. Joseph University (Nagaland), Tezpur University, Tripura University, and USTM (Meghalaya).
The top four teams from this tournament will progress to the Inter-Zonal Tournament at GNA University, Punjab, and qualify for the Khelo India University Games 2024.
