AGARTALA, Nov 15:   Union Minister for Communications and the Development of the North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday underscored the significance of tribal communities in India’s history during the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Agartala. 

Addressing the gathering, Scindia stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, his ministry, along with the Government of Tripura, is dedicated to advancing the welfare of the tribal community in the state. He noted that India’s history cannot be fully understood without recognizing the vital role of tribal communities. He praised Bhagwan Birsa Munda for not only fighting for the rights of the tribal community but for all Indians. 

Scindia further emphasized that Bhagwan Birsa Munda sacrificed his life for the nation, ensuring that the national flag would continue to soar.
