JIRIBAM, Dec 13: The Assam Rifles in Manipur’s Jiribam district launched an Area Domination Patrol (ADP) and search operation on December 12, employing an Explosive Detection (ED) dog to enhance the operation’s capability in detecting potential threats and ensuring the safety of troops and local residents.
The operation covered the general areas of Narayanpur, Madhopur, and Gotaikhal. The primary aim was to secure the region and maintain peace, as the Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to upholding stability in the region. During the operation, the troops successfully cleared a road blockade at Gotaikhal, which had been obstructing movement and causing inconvenience to local residents.
In addition, an unauthorized structure in Gotaikhal was identified and dismantled to prevent it from being used for unlawful activities. The operation proceeded smoothly, with no incidents reported, showcasing the professionalism and precision of the Assam Rifles. Local residents expressed their appreciation for the Assam Rifles’ efforts in maintaining safety and peace in the area.
