SENAPATI, Dec 14: In a significant achievement, two students from Senapati District, Manipur, Daihri Khoziio and George Lunii, have successfully cleared the Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) Examination, after receiving mentorship provided by the Indian Army, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence confirmed.
Both students, residents of Senapati district, cleared the SSC CGL Tier 1 written examination conducted on September 9, 2024 (Monday). According to the Ministry of Defence’s Public Relations Officer for Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh, the students benefited from mentorship under the Indian Army’s Red Shield Mentoring Centre in Senapati.
“Their achievement comes after receiving mentorship under the able guidance of the Indian Army at the Red Shield Mentoring Centre in Senapati of Manipur,” read the official statement.
The two students are part of the second batch mentored at the centre, where they began their training on August 5, 2024, to prepare for various competitive exams. Both students are now set to advance to the SSC CGL Tier II exams.
“Their success highlights the quality of education and strong support system provided at the Red Shield Mentoring Centre, which serves as an inspiration to their peers. It underscores that dedication, discipline, and focus lead to success,” the statement added.
The Ministry of Defence emphasized the Army’s commitment to empowering local youth through top-tier education and mentorship programs, ensuring students are equipped to meet challenges in their chosen careers.
