CHURACHANDPUR, Dec 14: Security forces arrested four armed miscreants, including a cadre of the Kuki National Front (KNF), on Thursday for allegedly terrorizing villagers in Laijang, Churachandpur district. The arrested individuals were identified as Thangsiam Haokip (27), a KNF cadre, along with Kamlian (34), Malsom (20), and Jaipu Doujaithang (42).

The police reported that the suspects were apprehended after intimidating the villagers by brandishing weapons. From their possession, authorities recovered one MA-1 Mk I (Myanmar) assault rifle, an air gun, 40 live rounds of ammunition, 22 fired cartridges, and a car without a registration number.

The arrests come amid ongoing security operations to maintain law and order in the region.
