SENAPATI, Dec 17: Tungjoy Baptist Church hosted the Poumai Naga Baptist Association’s (PNBA) Pentennial Fellowship on December 16-17, 2024, under the theme “Revive Us.” The grand event which celebrates every five years of faith and fellowship among the Poumai Naga community, drawing thousands of participants from across PNBA-affiliated churches.
The gathering featured a vibrant mix of worship, music, and messages of spiritual revival. Notable speakers included Rev. Dr. H. Gideon, General Secretary of the Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations, and Rev. Johanan Chelli, Executive Vice President of Berean Baptist Bible College & Seminary, Bangalore. The event opened with the unfurling of the PNBA flag by Rev. H. David, PNBA President, followed by an inaugural service led by Tungjoy Baptist Church Choir and guest speakers.
The fellowship’s focus extended beyond worship. It saw active involvement of choirs from Thangal Naga Baptist Association and Poumai Chakhesang Baptist Churches, Razeba Range, among others. The sessions emphasized themes like “Stand Firm” and “Be My Witness,” resonating with the community’s spiritual journey and commitment.
A farewell ceremony honored outgoing PNBA staff, including Rev. Dr. P. James, Executive Secretary, and welcomed new leadership. The installation of the incoming Executive Secretary, Rev. Dr. Joseph Kennedy, was a moment of continuity and hope.
With a diverse range of hymns, artists, and choirs, the Pentennial Fellowship became a powerful reminder of the unity and resilience of faith communities. The event concluded with a commitment to carry the spirit of revival forward, inspiring participants for the years to come.
