In a coordinated effort following specific intelligence, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted a joint operation on June 16th, 2024, leading to a significant discovery in the Gangpijang Ridge area of Kangpokpi District, Manipur.

During this operation, the forces recovered a substantial cache of weapons, including a 7.62mm AK-56 rifle, a Pt 22 rifle, a 12-inch single bore Brl gun, and two improvised projectile launchers. Alongside these firearms, other war-like materials were also found.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security in the region by removing such threats. The collaboration between Assam Rifles and Manipur Police showcases their dedication to maintaining safety and stability in Manipur.
