In a coordinated operation on Tuesday, security forces apprehended three individuals suspected of being Kuki militants in Kangpokpi district.
The operation, which involved Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) units 32, 69, 86, 109, 143, GC-QAT, Assam Rifles (AR), and state forces, was conducted in the Hengjol village area under the jurisdiction of New Keithelmanbi Police Station. During the raid, three AK-series firearms were confiscated.

The operation sparked a protest from local women, who gathered in opposition. To disperse the crowd, security forces used tear gas, which resulted in injuries to two or three women. Further information regarding the incident and the condition of the injured individuals is pending.
