MARAM, Oct 20: JJ Boys Hostel organized a one-day seminar on career guidance today at its Hostel Auditorium, aimed at enlightening students about various career opportunities and pathways.
The seminar featured two distinguished resource persons: Joel Rangnamei, Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Senapati Division, Government of Manipur, and Major Ningthoujam Makjal Singh, SM Coy Commander of the 16 Assam Rifles.
The event commenced at 11:30 AM, moderated by Mr. Dangshawa Kojem Maring. The event began with an opening prayer by Mrs. Lily Rang, followed by welcoming remarks from Mr. Titus, which helped set a positive tone for the proceedings. Students contributed to the lively atmosphere with a special song performance.
During the first session, Joel Rangnamei delivered an inspiring address, sharing insights drawn from his engineering career. He emphasized the significance of perseverance, adaptability, and lifelong learning as keys to success. The session concluded with a closing prayer by Mr. Gaikhanguang Kamei.
The second session began at 1:30 PM, featuring a vibrant dance performance by the students.
In his address, Major Ningthoujam Makjal Singh recounted his experiences in the military, underscoring the importance of discipline, leadership, and teamwork. He urged students to consider pursuing careers in the armed forces, highlighting the opportunity to serve the nation while cultivating essential life skills. Following his talk, an interactive hour allowed students to pose questions and discuss their career aspirations with both resource persons.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Pouthuilung Gangmei and a closing prayer by Mr. Titus. Participants were then treated to a grand feast, celebrating the success of a seminar that provided students with vital career guidance and inspiration.
