IMPHAL, Nov 14: In response to growing tensions in Jiribam(Manipur), Cachar Police have ramped up security measures along the Assam-Manipur border, with heightened patrols and surveillance efforts.
The police are focusing on conducting continuous riverine patrols from Fulertal to Tupidhar along the Barak River to prevent unauthorized cross-border activities and maintain peace in the region.
In addition to the riverine patrols, Cachar Police have carried out foot patrols, area domination exercises, and searches in Tupidhar, a strategic area along the border. These efforts aim to restrict any illegal entries while fostering stability through community engagement and cooperation.
The authorities remain committed to maintaining law and order in the border region, ensuring the safety and security of residents on both sides.
