CHURACHANDPUR, Oct 29: Churachandpur District has reported a surge in dengue cases, with 10 new cases emerging over the last three days—October 25, 26, and 27. This recent spike has raised the district’s October case count to 91, the highest recorded in a single month. The information was provided by the Malaria department of Churachandpur district.
The cumulative total for dengue cases in Churachandpur for 2024 now stands at 134. The latest cases were reported from ten different localities within the town, where the Malaria department responded with fogging operations to curb the spread.
Local reports indicate that the Manipur State Health Department has yet to release official statements regarding the surge. Meanwhile, the Churachandpur District Malaria Department is working proactively to control the outbreak, implementing preventive measures across affected areas.
Fortunately, no dengue-related fatalities have been recorded in Churachandpur district so far this year.
